Premier League: Manchester United, Transfers 2019/20: Fixed Transfers, New Entries, Disposals and Possible Reinforcements

In contrast to other top European leagues, the transfer window of the English Premier League has been open since mid-May. It’s nothing new that Premier League clubs like Manchester United have a lot of purchasing power. But what new commitments is United actually planning and who will leave the club? SOCCERSCORE provides the answer!

In the “Big Five” of the most valuable Premier League teams, there are, not surprisingly, two clubs from Manchester.

While Manchester City is the most valuable squad in England’s top league with a total of 1.14 billion euros, Manchester United ranks fifth in terms of market value (812.5 million euros).

From Manchester United’s point of view, the 2019/20 Premier League season has not yet seen too many new arrivals. For the coming season, the Red Devils have only engaged Daniel James.

James is a multiple junior international and debuted in November 2018 for the senior national team of Wales. The young Welsh player previously played for Swansea City before Manchester United put out feelers for the 21-year-old at the beginning of June. Manchester United is said to have paid 17 million euros for young James.

For some United players, the contract expires at the end of June. While the departure of two former United top performers has already been sealed, the traditional club is in the midst of new contract negotiations with another top player.

Just under a month ago, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer announced that the club would not be extending Antonio Valencia’s contract. Solskjaer found clear words: “We need players here who are able to bring us forward. It will come to the survival of the fittest or the survival of the best. That’s how ruthless we must be now.”

Also the Spaniard Ander Herrera will no longer wear the Red Devils jersey next season. According to English media reports, 29-year-old Herrera is said to have demanded an annual salary of around twelve million euros, which club boss Woodward rejected.

Another player whose contract is due to expire on 30.06. is Juan Mata. According to club information, however, Mata has already received a new contract offer, so that it cannot be ruled out that he will remain.

Paul Pogba’s contract with Manchester United runs until 2021, but that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible for the French to change clubs.

On the contrary, his compatriot and current Real coach Zinedine Zidane is said to have put the 26-year-old on his wish list. After the most important top performers slowly reach their zenith, Zidane is about to introduce the necessary change to the royals.

After Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba is the second player to be considered for the new season. A possible Pogba transfer would be paid Manchester United in any case juicy. The current market value of the French national player is 90 million euros.

Ex-captain and club legend Wayne Rooney has a clear opinion on the subject of reinforcing the squad. In his opinion, the club should focus on young players rather than on top stars: “You could buy three players, for example Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi, that would cost you about 350 million euros. But after a few years the money would be gone. The club must rebuild with young players.”

Among the young and talented players who may be transferred to Old Trafford are Joao Felix, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and James Maddison. All these names have recently been associated with Manchester United by the media.

The Bundesliga stars James and Haller were also repeatedly mentioned in the media as potential, well-known reinforcements. The 24-year-old Haller is said to have been observed several times by Manchester United during several European League appearances by Eintracht Frankfurt.

The market value of Sebastien Haller is estimated at 40 million euros.

Only last week it became known that Real contract player James Rodriguez will leave FC Bayern. Now there are signs of a change to Manchester United. As the Times reports, James is to become part of a possible mega-transfer package, along with Gareth Bale and Keylor Navas.
