Striker legend Samuel Eto’o has advised Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, most recently associated with Real Madrid, to switch to FC Barcelona.
“Barcelona would fit better,” the 38-year-old told the BBC, adding: “Real gave me the opportunity to leave Africa, but I know Barcelona’s way of playing and I think it would be better for him.”
Eto’o, who is currently with Qatar SC, had himself been with the Catalan club for five years. He therefore speaks from experience: “If he has the chance to play in the best league in the world, and this is the Spanish league, he must sign at Barcelona”.
Salah will remain with Liverpool until 2023 and has scored 54 goals in 74 games since moving from AS Rome: “He has everything to be one of the best players in the world,” Eto’o said.
