Former national goalkeeper Jens Lehmann considers Jürgen Klopp as coach of Liverpool FC to be even stronger than in his time in the Bundesliga.
“I think his greatest achievement is that he has developed a lot since Dortmund,” Lehmann said in Berlin. Top Liverpool around coach Klopp is leading the Premier League with a commanding 25 point lead. The defending champion will be a guest of Atlético Madrid in the Champions League first leg of the round of 16 in the evening (21:00).
Of the three German teams in the knockout phase, FC Bayern Munich has the best chance of advancing, according to Lehmann. The Munich team will meet FC Chelsea in the last sixteen next Tuesday (21:00). “Chelsea are a good team, but with results that (…) are not always stable,” said the former national goalkeeper.
