This year only the teams of Pep Guardiola and Jürgen Klopp have the chance to win the title. All other teams in England’s top division are too far behind one matchday before the end.

Manchester City and FC Liverpool gave each other nothing in the final sprint of the title fight. Instead, both celebrated one victory after the other and are now in first and second place in the table with a large lead. Citizens score 95 points, Reds 94 points.

Manchester City must play Brighton & Hove Albion on the last matchday. The team from the southern English coastal city is in 17th place and thus far down in the table. However, with a five-point lead over Cardiff City, the class is already secure.

Liverpool has the supposedly more difficult task in the parallel game. The Merseyside team is hosting the Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are in seventh place after all.

What’s clear is that the Reds must be hoping for shooter help. They can no longer win the title on their own.

Consequently, the Skyblues have all the trump cards in their hands. It would be the second Premier League title in series and the third overall.

By the way: If there is a tie, the better goal difference counts. If there is also a tie here, the direct duel is decisive – here the advantage lies with a victory and a draw in this season on the part of the Citizens.

Jürgen Klopp has been coach at FC Liverpool since autumn 2015 and is still waiting for his first title. Again, it could be nothing with a triumph in the Premier League. But you can still hold on: Klopp has made Liverpool into a true top team and has had the best PL season in the club’s history.

And if it doesn’t work out on Sunday, Klopp would have the next chance to win a trophy on June 1st. Then it’s time for the crown of the Champions League against Tottenham Hotspur (21 o’clock live on DAZN).

The exciting title fight can be seen on DAZN in the livestream. Because all matches of the 38th matchday are kicked off on Sunday, 12 May, at 4 p.m., the streaming service offers a conference circuit with its Goalzone.
