The transfer saga around Marko Arnautovic starts all over again, including the mud battle. Yesterday Sky Sports reported that the 30-year-old Austrian asked for his release. The center forward wants to leave West Ham this summer.
In order to give his change idea proper emphasis, Markos’ brother and advisor Danijel Arnautovic flinched at Sky Sports and violently insulted West Ham: “He is not a cow or a horse to be brought to the market. He is a highly talented soccer player who is simply used by West Ham. He’s just a number to them.”
According to the consultant and brother, the problem presents itself quite differently in personal union. West Ham would have tried to sell Arnautovic to the end, the extension of the contract in winter would have been just eyewash. 22 million euros, the offer from China at that time, is said to have been too little: “West Ham tried to get rid of him until the last second of the January transfer window. To them, it’s just merchandise. It’s still for sale.”
It’s all about the sum: “What’s important for West Ham is how much money they can get for him.” An offer from an unnamed club is said to have been received by West Ham again. A transfer becomes more and more probable, because Danijel Arnautovic may have cut the cloth with West Ham now finally.
