Gunners save a point in the London City Derby

Published on

Arsenal FC still have to wait for a liberating blow in the English Premier League, but showed great morale in the London derby against Chelsea FC.

Team manager Mikel Arteta’s side saved a 2-2 (1-0) defeat, but have only won one of their last eight league matches. The Gunners, with Mesut Özil, Bernd Leno and Shkodran Mustafi all playing for them from the start, are tenth in the standings. Previously, defending champions Manchester City had at least temporarily reduced their large gap to leaders Liverpool FC. Team manager Pep Guardiola’s side won 1-0 (0-0) at Sheffield United thanks to a goal from Sergio Agüero.

Team manager Juergen Klopp will join Champions League winners Liverpool, who are 13 points clear and two games down, for Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday.
