The German national football player Serge Gnabry from FC Bayern has been tested positive for the coronavirus. The record champion announced that.

The 25-year-old “is doing well,” a brief announcement from the Munich residents said.

The offensive player is in domestic quarantine and will therefore be out for the time being. Gnabry is the first player in Bavaria to become aware of an infection with the coronavirus. It was initially unclear

what impact this will have on the start of the Champions League with the planned home game against Atlético Madrid on Wednesday (21:00).

Gnabry had participated in the final training of the Munich residents on Tuesday afternoon. Further corona tests at FC Bayern
According to the findings, all Bavarian players will be tested again on Wednesday morning. Only those professionals whose test is negative may enter the Allianz Arena. This corresponds to the concept of the DFL. A match against the Spaniards could thus be secured.

Positive corona tests within a team do not necessarily lead to game cancellations. If there are at least 13 players available (including at least one goalkeeper), the game must be played on the scheduled date. However, this would be

prevented, for example, by the authorities ordering a quarantine for the entire crew.
