English champions Liverpool FC are postponing the change of supplier until the end of the current Premier League season. The club, which is about to win the championship, made the announcement on its website.
The contract with the sports equipment manufacturer New Balance should have ended on 31 May. From June 1, the Reds were to be equipped by the US company Nike.
Because the season in the Premier League was interrupted due to the Corona crisis and is now expected to run until the end of July, coach Jürgen Klopp’s club agreed with the companies to postpone it by two months.
New Balance will remain Liverpool’s equipment supplier until 31 July. The new contract with Nike starts on August 1.
