Former Liverpool professional Daniel Sturridge has been fined 150,000 pounds (approx. 170,000 euros) for betting rule violations by the English Football Association FA with a worldwide football ban until 17 June and a fine of 150,000 pounds (approx. 170,000 euros). This was announced by the FA.
Shortly before, the 26-time English international player had cancelled his contract with the Turkish first division club Trabzonspor. The 30-year-old is banned from all soccer-related activities until summer.
