Nervousness does not arise with Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp. Not even after the third compulsory defeat in four matches.
“I’m not worried about the momentum,” said Klopp after the 2-0 (0-1) win at Chelsea FC and the resulting FA Cup outing. “You don’t get momentum as a gift, you have to get it in order to keep it. And we can get it back any time we want.”
Liverpool FC suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season on Sunday – a surprisingly clear 3-0 win over relegated Watford FC. Against Chelsea, Klopp at least saw an upward trend in his team.
“Tonight’s performance was very different from Watford,” said the 52-year-old after the cup’s end at Bayern Munich’s Champions League opponents. “Against Watford it was really bad, today it was not bad at all. It was a really super intense game.”
