Christian Fuchs no longer has a contract with Leicester City at the end of the season. In the past, the former ÖFB captain often flirted with a transfer to the MLS to move to his family in Manhattan. Now Leicesters new coach, Brendan Rodgers, could make a U-turn.
As Leicester Mercury reports, the coach should count on the 33-year-old’s experience and offer Fuchs another one-year contract.
In the current season Ben Chilwell is set on the position of the left defender, Fuchs was used only in the cup competitions. He has played three games in the Premier League so far.
In the summer of 2015, Fuchs moved from FC Schalke 04 to the Premier League, where he sensationally celebrated his championship title in 2016. He has played 96 Premier League matches to date, scoring two goals and nine assists.
