Manchester City defended their Premier League title with a 4-1 win at Brighton & Hove Albion. Liverpool FC also won against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but that was not enough to finish second.
Pep Guardiola’s team won thanks to the goals of Agüero, Laporte, Mahrez and Gündogan and secured the sixth title in the club’s history. Murray put Brighton in the lead earlier.
FC Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Wolverhampton did not help. Both goals were scored by Mane. In the final account, however, they stayed one point behind the Citizens with 97 points.
