Bayern Munich’s wish-list player Leroy Sane has caused quite a stir on his return to Manchester City after his Friday vacation. When the English football champion pulled back a video in the afternoon that showed Sane laughing as he entered the club headquarters, the speculation shot into the herb. Some fans were sure: Sane is going to Munich!
However, the background was different: Sane wore a red (!) hooded sweater with the logo of his outfitter (Nike), but City is a partner of a competitor (Puma). When the club showed the clip again a short time later, the logo had been obscured.
The Bavarians make no secret of their interest in Sane. The national player is to take on the legacy of the top stars Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben on the wing. The Munich team is currently waiting for a signal from the former Schalker as to whether he can imagine switching back to the Bundesliga.
Sane has been playing for the Skyblues since summer 2016. At that time, the 23-year-old switched from Schalke 04 to the reigning English champion for more than 50 million euros.
