The transfer saga around Marko Arnautovic should start all over again. Sky Sports reports that the 30-year-old Austrian has asked for his release. The center forward wants to leave West Ham this summer.
Once again West Ham is said to have received an offer from an unnamed club in China. It was only last January that the two Chinese clubs Shanghai SIPG and Guangzhou Evergrande sought Arnautovic’s services – but without success. Shortly afterwards Arnautovic signed a new contract until summer 2023 – including a salary increase.
At the beginning of June, the British and Italian media associated Arnautovic with Inter Milan. “The newspapers very quickly and gladly put my name in their mouths when it comes to a transfer, but I can assure you 100 percent that there is nothing concrete about it,” the Viennese said to journalists at the time. “Maybe people are talking about it, maybe I’m on some list. But I haven’t gotten anything concrete yet.”
