In the last home game of the season, FC Liverpool once again created an offensive gala. Prior to the handover of the championship trophy, the Reds, along with Chelsea FC, scored 90 entertaining minutes and eight goals by eight different goalscorers at the end of the 37th game day. Especially the first two goals of the Reds were extremely worth seeing, with Christian Pulisic shining among the guests.
The opponent from London received good news shortly before kick-off. Champions League rival Manchester United had only played 1-1 against West Ham, leaving the Blues with a draw in Liverpool to qualify for the Royal League. But it was supposed to be different – although Chelsea actually started the game well: Mount headed free-standing over it from five metres (8th), James hammered the ball just over the angle (16th).
