Granite Xhaka has denied rumours of a change and apparently plans to stay with FC Arsenal for the long term. When asked whether he will change, he told the Swiss newspaper Blick: “Not that I know of. I have a four-year contract, I only signed it last year.”
“I’m happy there, my family too. That’s the most important thing,” added the 26-year-old. The midfielder has recently been frequently associated with Inter Milan in particular.
Xhaka would also like to become captain of the Gunners: “It would certainly be the dot on the i,” said the midfielder.
After losing both matches with the Swiss national team at the Nations-League final tournament, Xhaka is now going into the summer break.
