FC Arsenal have failed at Serie A top club Juventus Turin with an offer for a loan transfer of defender Daniele Rugani (25).
According to information from SOCCERSCORE and Goal, the Gunners offered the Italian central defender a loan for two years in which he could have strengthened the defensive line of the London City Club. But Juve refused.
The reason for this is that the Turin-based team will start the new 2019/20 season with five traditional central defenders. The transfer offer for Rugani also included a purchase option that the Gunners could have drawn.
Rugani returned from a loan to Empoli in 2015 to return to the record champion, where he has consistently been a supplement in recent years. In the last season he played 20 games for the old lady.
Premier League club Arsenal is not only looking for a man for the headquarters but also for a left-back. Here, Kieran Tierney from Celtic Glasgow is regarded as the ideal player. As things stand, however, the traditional Scottish club has already rejected two offers from the Londoners and would like to keep the 22-year-old.
