Patrick Schmidt of FC Admira has apparently received an offer from England. As Kurier and Sky unanimously report, FC Barnsley should be interested in the 21-year-old.
Already today, Thursday, the transfer window closes in England, so a change would have to take place soon. After Sasa Kalajdzic (VfB Stuttgart) and Marin Jakolis (Hajduk Split) Schmidt would be the Admira’s third attacker to leave the club in this transfer window.
Schmidt’s contract with the Südstädtern currently runs until summer 2020. Last season, the striker scored eight goals and an assistant in 30 competitive games. In the current season, he played in all three Admira compulsory games over the full distance.
In his career Schmidt has played 26 matches for various ÖFB youth national teams.
