Abidal’s future at Barça hangs by a thread

At FC Barcelona the mood is at boiling point after Lionel Messi’s allergic reaction to Eric Abidal’s statements. In Spanish media even Abidal’s resignation had been considered. Apparently President Josep Maria Bartomeu is taking a different path. Nevertheless: Abidal is counted.

“Many players were not happy and did not work well, and there were also problems with internal communication,” said Abidal. “I think when people talk about players in this way, names should be mentioned. Because if not, everyone will be soiled and comments will be fed that are not true,” Messi replied. At Barcelona, people seem to be talking more about each other than with each other.
