His former coach Ralph Hasenhüttl believes national player Timo Werner can make the leap into the English Premier League. According to media reports, the 24-year-old striker has agreed to a change with Chelsea FC. “He scores goals that nobody else scores. Give him a bit of space and he is almost unstoppable,” Hasenhüttl told “Sport Bild”.
“It is only difficult to assert yourself as a striker elsewhere if you don’t immediately show that you have qualities. But with him I’m not worried at all,” the Austrian explained.
In the Premier League, Werner expects football to be “very physical and duel-oriented”, the coach explained: “Football is very intense and fast. However, Hasenhüttl is convinced that with his speed the national player could become a “brutal weapon” in the right team.
