National Team Director Oliver Bierhoff praised the development of the young players in the DFB team. He particularly likes Leroy Sane, whom he could well imagine in the Bundesliga.
“I’m happy to see how fast some players are already growing. If I take Leroy now and compare him with the time before the World Cup – or Brandt or Gnabry. These are all players who have already made their mark on us, even though they are only in their early 20s. What must come now is continuity,” Bierhoff said in an interview with the sports buzzer.
In the struggle for the fiercely courted Sane, Oliver Bierhoff expects positive effects should the former Schalker return from Manchester City to Germany.
“The Bundesliga would definitely benefit if a player like Leroy Sane were here,” Bierhoff said. “Leroy can assert himself anywhere.” The 23-year-old Sane is to be courted by the German record champion Bayern Munich.
