There are “finals” on matchday 6
There is only one matchday left to play in the preliminary round of the Europa League and many decisions have already been made, but not all.
Regarding the regulations: the top of each group qualifies directly for the round of 16, while the runners-up will face the Champions League group thirds in the intermediate round. Matches between clubs from the same national association are excluded. Whoever finishes the preliminary round in third place in a group will also spend the winter in Europe, but will then have to start in the Europa Conference League in the spring. Only the fourth-placed teams in the group are sure to be out.
In Group A, everything has already been decided: Olympique Lyon (15 points) have qualified for the round of 16, Glasgow Rangers (7) for the intermediate round because of the direct comparison with Sparta Prague (4). Prague and Brøndy IF (2) will go head-to-head in the Czech capital to determine third place;
Niko Kovac and AS Monaco (11 points) have secured first place in Group B. PSV Eindhoven (8) and Real Sociedad San Sebastian (6) will fight for second place in a direct duel in the Basque country. Sturm Graz
