National player Antonio Rüdiger of Chelsea FC will miss the first leg of the European League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt (Do., 21 o’clock live on DAZN and in LIVETICKER) due to injury. “Antonio will probably be missing in the first leg of the Europa League,” coach Maurizio Sarri said after the draw against Manchester United on Sunday (1-1) in the Premier League on Sunday.
The central defender had made his comeback to United after a two-week break, but had to be replaced again in the second half with knee problems.
However, attacker Willian, who was also injured when he was replaced by United, could be used according to Sarri. “Willian is questionable at the moment. It’s just one shot, so we can try to get him fit,” explained the Italian.
Chelsea FC currently ranks fourth in the Premier League. But if Maurizio Sarri’s team missed the top 4, they would have to qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
