The souvenir hunt by Leipzigs Marcel Halstenberg has traded PSG superstar Neymar a violation of a Corona recommendation from UEFA.
After Paris Saint-Germain’s sovereign 3-0 in the Champions League semi-finals, the Brazilian and German footballer exchanged their jerseys. With a bare upper body, Neymar celebrated on the lawn the French ‘first final entry – in his hand the white RB-Jersey with the number 23.
In accordance with the protocol of the European Football Union on the return of football due to the coronavirus pandemic, a jersey exchange is currently not welcome. “Players are advised to refrain from exchanging their jerseys,” it says in point 14.8. on page 25.
However, as it is only a recommendation, Neymar does not threaten to block the final, as English tabloid media speculated. Halstenberg also has little to fear for the next season in the royal class.
Upon “RTL”request, the association confirmed that there will be no proceedings against the Brazilian, so he has no reason to fear a ban.
