According to Lothar Matthäus, coach Thomas Tuchel will have to fear for his job at Paris Saint-Germain before the Champions League duels with his former club Borussia Dortmund.
“If he has to stroke his sails again in the last round of 16 after the knockout against Manchester United last year, his days in Paris are numbered,” the record-breaking international wrote in his “Sky” column.
That’s why PSG and his German coach are under greater pressure before the first leg of the round of 16 in Dortmund.
“Both coaches are regularly under a lot of pressure. For Tuchel and Paris, however, the pressure is much greater than for Favre and BVB. Dortmund can, Paris must reach the next round,” Matthäus assessed the situation before the first encounter on Tuesday.
