FC Liverpool have responded to FC Barcelona’s high ticket prices for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at Camp Nou on 1 May.
After the Catalans had set the ticket price for away fans at 119 euros, Liverpool are now demanding the same amount from Blaugrana supporters for the return leg at Anfield.
“Barcelona has confirmed that our tickets will cost 102 pounds each (equivalent to about 119 euros). In this case, we believe that our supporters will be disadvantaged by the enormously high ticket prices of the host club,” an official Reds statement said.
As a result, Liverpool will charge Barca supporters the same high price and send the resulting difference of 31 euros each to its own fans to pay for their away tickets.
