Shortly before the Champions League duel at FC Bayern, FC Chelsea striker Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive for the corona virus. The 19-year-old, who was once courted by the Munich team, is thus the first player in the Premier League to be infected with Sars-CoV-2. On Friday he published a video message.
He showed symptoms comparable to a mild cold on Monday morning and has not trained since. Hudson-Odoi must now go into quarantine. This includes all persons who had contact with him in the team building, the professional team, the coaches and some of the support staff.
All those who have not had close contact with the teenager are to return to training in the next few days. Hudson-Odoi is doing well, Chelsea FC continued.
On Friday the Englishman posted a video message on his Instagram channel saying: “I have recovered from the virus in the last few days. I have been in quarantine for a week and hope to be back on the pitch soon. Take care of yourself.”
