Zorc announces further departures at BVB

Michael Zorc has announced that Borussia Dortmund will be one or the other player.

“We will still do one or the other, but rather on the losing side like now with Shinji Kagawa or Maximilian Philipp. We don’t want an overloaded squad. There will be a lot more to come,” said the BVB Sports Director at Sport1.

Zorc also explained why Julian Brandt was not in the squad for the DFB Cup match against KFC Uerdingen: “It would have been too early for him. Although he trained briefly in the morning and will be used on Saturday in the test game against Prussia Münster, it is not enough for 90 minutes yet.”

Meanwhile, Zorc is full of praise for Mats Hummel’s return. “I feel like he’s never been away. He immediately reintroduced himself well. He’s someone who can lead, should lead, who knows how to win. For me, he is the best German central defender in Germany,” said Zorc.
