The vast majority of Bundesliga coaches believe in the eighth championship for Bayern Munich in a row. In a survey by SID, 17 of the 18 coaches have the German record champion Bayern Munich at the top of their list before the season starts on Friday. Only Florian Kohfeldt from Bremen firmly believes that Borussia Dortmund will win the title.
“I’m guessing BVB will be champion. From the outside, I find the mix in the squad very exciting,” said Kohfeldt.
A total of six coaches believe the Dortmund team (multiple nominations were possible) has a chance to win the title, including BVB coach Lucien Favre, of course. “FC Bayern has the best prerequisites. We want to be a strong challenger and play for the championship title,” said the Swiss.
Niko Kovac takes on the role of favourite. “As always, our ambitions are very high, we want to defend the double, but we know for ourselves how difficult it will be. The competition has intensified well,” said the Bayern coach.
