The rumours about a possible transfer of Fortuna Düsseldorfs striker Dodi Lukebakio to the Bundesliga rival FC Schalke 04 get new food. According to Sport Bild, Lukebakio’s side has already held concrete talks with the royal blue.
This was also about the possible content of the attacker. It is said that Schalke offers Lukebakio an annual salary of four million euros, which could rise to five million euros with bonuses. His current salary is 400,000 euros per year, so S04 offers ten times that amount.
Despite the tempting earnings, a transfer from Lukebakio to the miners is still a long way off. At the end of his loan in Düsseldorf, the 21-year-old, who scored 14 competitive goals last season, is now returning to FC Watford for the time being and the English are allegedly demanding a 20 million euro transfer. A sum Schalke is probably not prepared to pay.
The Sport Bild also reports a possible reinforcement for the defensive of the royal blues: The Austrian Stefan Posch of TSG Hoffenheim is a candidate here.
