Andre Schürrle has probably found a new club in the Russian Premjer league. Meanwhile, the Dortmund U23 has suffered a bitter defeat at the start of the season. The professionals are challenged today in a test match against Udinese. All news and rumours about the BVB can be found here.

The future of Andre Schürrle lies probably with Spartak Moscow. As reported by the Russian Portal Championship, the offensive player will be loaned to the Russians for one year.

The first division team will then have a purchase option of eight million euros for the 28-year-old, who returned to BVB after borrowing from FC Fulham in the summer.

The kicker had also reported about Spartak’s interest in Schürrle, which is still under contract with Borussia until 2021, but has already been released from training to find a club.

A bitter start to the season for Borussia’s U21s on Essen’s Hafenstraße: A controversial penalty kick in injury time caused coach Mike Tullberg’s team to lose 2-1.

“If you let yourself fall in the 95th minute before the west curve, I was counting on a yellow card. But the referee gave the Essenes a penalty kick,” the Dane said angrily.

Nevertheless, he was very satisfied with the performance of his team, which was even leading at half time: “We didn’t have any professionals at all. And we’ve shown that we’re so strong. We were at eye level with food. That was nice to meet you.”

Meanwhile, the pros are preparing for their first compulsory game in the DFL Supercup on 3 August against FC Bayern. Today, the training camp in Bad Ragaz is against Udinese Calcio.
