Schalke 04: Summer timetable, test matches, transfers

After a miserable season, FC Schalke 04 is looking to make amends in the coming season. The foundation stone should be laid during the preparation. Here you can find out everything about the summer timetable, the test matches and the transfers of the royal blues.

On 27 June Schalke 04 officially presented the new head coach with David Wagner. The former coach of Huddersfield Town is succeeding Huub Stevens, who has been the interim manager of Schalke since March following the dismissal of Domenico Tedesco. Wagner and his team started training on 1 July.

The Schalkers won their first test match against RW Oberhausen 3:1 on 7 July. Rabbi Matondo and Ahmed Kutucu (2x) scored for S04. After a short training camp in Herzlake from 16 to 19 July, the next week will take them to Mittersill in Austria.

In addition to Kabak, Raman, Schubert and Kenny, Pablo Insua and Fabian Reese return from loans. In addition, Jonas Carlos moves up from second agent to professional.

Bernard Tekpetey will be sent directly to Fortuna Düsseldorf after his loan to SC Paderborn. Breel Embolo is going to Borussia Mönchengladbach after an injury plagued time at Schalke 04.

The royal blues start the new season with a guest appearance at Borussia Mönchengladbach. While FC Bayern opens the season on August 16th (Friday), all further matches have not yet been scheduled exactly.
