Austria’s soccer team player Marcel Sabitzer has spoken out in favour of hiring one or two more experienced professionals at RB Leipzig. “There are also some experienced players playing for the Bavarians or the BVB. Where they are, we want to go,” said the 25-year-old in an interview with Leipziger Volkszeitung and sportbuzzer.de.
According to the offensive man, there is a lot of talent, speed and mentality in the squad of Champions League participant Leipzig. But in close matches it needs “a bit of experience”, Sabitzer said and formulated the goals of the Saxon Bundesliga club for the upcoming season: “We have a lot of plans, we want to survive the group phase in the Champions League and in the league again under the top four.
Sabitzer predicted that RB Leipzig, who finished third last season behind FC Bayern and Dortmund, would play good football in the future and be successful. “The question is how fast can this go?” Under the new coach Julian Nagelsmann, the Leipziger want to develop even more creativity in the offensive game next to their rehearsed fast switching game. The team is until Saturday in the training camp in Seefeld, Austria.
