S04 has to do without new members for a longer period of time

FC Schalke 04 apparently has to do without Ozan Kabak for longer than originally assumed. PSG talent Stanley Nsoki could become an issue if there wasn’t a financial problem. Here’s all the news and rumors about S04.

FC Schalke 04 has to do without Ozan Kabak longer than originally thought, according to a report in the picture. The central defender could therefore miss the first compulsory match of the season in the DFB Cup at Drochtersen/Assel (10 August) as well as the Bundesliga opener at Borussia Mönchengladbach (17 August).

For Schalke this would be a bitter blow. Kabak has so far been regarded as the king’s transfer and was intended to stabilize the defensive of the king’s blues. In preparation, however, the 15 million new VfB Stuttgart employees had injured their feet. The diagnosis was not published, but the foot was probably constantly checked for progress.

However, it is precisely these advances that are expected to occur much more slowly than desired, which could mean a further downtime of up to four weeks. That puts coach David Wagner in trouble: Currently only Matija Nastasic and Benjamin Stambouli are available as potential central defenders, Salif Sane is on special leave until 6 August.

According to the French sports portal Soccerlink.fr FC Schalke 04 is interested in Stanley Nsoki from Paris Saint-Germain. This is not the first time that the name of the left-back has been mentioned in Gelsenkirchen. Already at the beginning of June Nsoki was traded at S04, which is also supposed to be on the paper at RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, according to the French portal, the Bundesliga is not his preferred goal: Saint-Etienne is currently the favourite in the race for the 20-year-old’s loan. In any case, Paris does not want to give up its own plant altogether; it was not until September 2018 that the contract with Nsoki was extended until 2021.

FC Schalke 04 will probably have to play a shorter game on the transfer market for the time being. As the kicker reports, the financial resources have been exhausted for the time being, which is why it is now necessary to wait for departures before striving for further newcomers.

According to the report, three professionals in particular are to leave the association: Nabil Bentaleb, Hamza Mendyl and Yevhen Konopylanka. Once their feeders are finalized, Schalke can probably look out for reinforcements again. An outside defender is therefore still on the squire’s note.

Problematic: Due to the pressure to act, Schalke has to make sacrifices in terms of the detachments. After Breel Embolo was already sold relatively cheaply, Bentaleb, Mendyl and Konoplyanka will probably also be sold for considerably less money than the invested redemption.
