Bundesliga: Rummenigge: "Have not submitted an offer for Sane."

FC Bayern Munich has not yet submitted a bid for Leroy Sane, according to chairman of the board Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Jürgen Klopp could become an issue in 2022. Bastian Schweinsteiger clarifies a few things. Here you can find all news and rumours about FC Bayern.

FC Bayern Munich have not yet entered into talks with Manchester City about a transfer of Leroy Sane. “We have not made an offer for Leroy Sane. It’s not that far yet,” Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told SportBild. The CEO thus denied rumours of an offer of more than 80 million euros.

Rather, the Munich players are currently only in talks with the player: “First the player must decide whether he can imagine coming to FC Bayern. Since this is not the case so far, the Bavarians have not yet approached the English: “The player is the most important factor”.

Meanwhile Rummenigge did not know the exact status of the negotiations. “Hasan Salihamidzic is conducting the talks here,” said the 63-year-old. The conversations could be made more difficult by a change of advisor at the courted player. Sane should not only trust his mother Regina but also the management of David Beckham.

Bayern Munich’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has expressed his enthusiasm for Jürgen Klopp in SportBild. “When we played in Liverpool, we sensed from those responsible at the club that he was not doing a lot for football, but also for the club’s environment, euphorising it,” said the 63-year-old.

Accordingly, Rummenigge was “happy” when Klopp won the Champions League with FC Liverpool: “It would have been almost fatal if he had lost a final again.” Rummenigge can understand that FCB legend Franz Beckenbauer recently wished for Klopp in Munich.

But he was cautious: “We have a coach and don’t want another discussion.” Klopp would not be on the market until 2022, when his contract in England expires. “I suppose he won’t worry about what will be possible in x years”, KHR classified. According to the SportBild, FC Bayern was blown off at Klopp in 2018 – and took Niko Kovac.

Bastian Schweinsteiger did not leave FC Bayern Munich in the summer of 2015 because of Pep Guardiola. “No, I really didn’t leave for pizzazz. I was at a certain age and wanted to try something new,” Schweinsteiger told SportBild.

Such rumors had lasted for a long time. In Manchester, Schweinsteiger and Guardiola met one evening: “He came to me and thanked me that I had never lost a bad word about him afterwards”. Overall, it was a ‘professional relationship’, he was an ‘excellent trainer’.

The fact that the Catalan did not achieve the great triumph in the Champions League made Schweinsteiger believe in “little things” that would always have been missing: “In retrospect you can always say what you could have done better”.

Such trifles could be tackled in the future of FC Bayern with Oliver Kahn on the board. “Olli embodies the Mia-san-mia mentality like few others. His ambition was unbelievable. He has incredible football knowledge and experience at the highest level. The constellation would be perfect,” enthused Schweinsteiger.

Olaf Thon has warned FC Bayern Munich against a transfer of Leroy Sanes from Manchester City. “Leroy Sane wasn’t the absolute starter and there’s a little residual risk because he’s not yet the leader. The question is whether he can lead a team like seals and Ribery did,” Thon told the evening paper.

For comparable money, there would be better solutions on the transfer market, Thon said: “I would rather invest 100 million in Cristiano Ronaldo. With him, you’ve seen what he can move. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, even though he’s already 37, is still a player you can dig deep into your pockets for.”
