Rooney advises Sancho to stay with BVB

According to England’s national team record scorer Wayne Rooney, young star Jaden Sancho (19) will stay with runner-up Borussia Dortmund. “Dortmund is a great club with great fans. They rely on young players,” the 33-year-old told the Bild am Sonntag.

Rooney continues: “You can also see that with Sancho, you can see the progress he has made in the last twelve months. Now he has to ask himself whether he would also get the playing time he gets in Dortmund if he moved to England. Or would he just sit there on the bench?”

Play time is so important for a young player like Jadon. “If he gets the most playing time in Dortmund, he should stay there,” stressed the former star player from Manchester United.

Sancho was one of the big discoveries in the Bundesliga last season. Rooney: “It’s fun to watch him, he’s doing really well at BVB.” Sancho played 34 Bundesliga games for the Black Yellow in the past season, scored twelve goals and prepared 17 goals. He was the second most successful scorer in the German football upper house after Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich/22 goals and 13 templates).

The young English national player’s contract with BVB runs until 30 June 2022. The teenager currently has a market value of around 100 million euros.
