A change from ex-Rapidler Joelinton has only been a matter of time for some time now. Until recently, the Wolverhampton Wanderers were in pole position. According to the English Telegraph, however, Newcastle United now has the deal as good as certain.
The transfer fee is expected to be around 40 million euros, which would be significantly less than the expected price last winter.
The deal between the traditional English club Newcastle and Joelinton should be practically fixed. However, at the end of last season the Premier League club parted company with coach Rafael Benitez, who had accepted an offer from China.
That’s why they’re currently looking for coaches, but are said to have found what they were looking for with coach veteran Steve Bruce. He’s already finished his job at Sheffield Wednesday, but there’s still no enforcement notice yet.
As long as this has not arrived, the transfer of ex-Rapidler Joelinton will not be finalised to leave the final word to the coach. Joselu, a competitor in the attack centre, has now been sold to the Spanish club Alavas, so the track is clear.
After Kerem Demirbay and Nico Schulz, the TSG from Hoffenheim will be the third renowned departure. However, the club has hardly reinvested the 100 million euros it raised so far.
