RB Leipzig, Transfers – Fixed New Entries and Disposals

RB Leipzig has already engaged two players, a top performer has left the club. SOCCERSCORE provides you with an overview of all fixed new entries and exits of the Champions League participant.

The Red Bulls have a highly successful season behind them and now want to attack again with some changes in the squad. The Saxons finished third in the Bundesliga and thus qualified for the premier class. Leipzig also reached the cup final. Thus the team of new coach Julian Nagelsmann, who follows Ralf Rangnick, dances again to three weddings.

RB Leipzig has already taken several million euros into its hands and engaged two players. Hannes Wolf, whose change was already decided in winter, comes from his favourite transfer partner RB Salzburg. The Austrian has been under contract with the Bundesliga club since 1 July. And with Luan Candido comes a Brazilian talent.

With Bruma, RB Leipzig has left a player who was used a lot in the first half of the season. However, the Portuguese hardly played any more in the second half of the season and therefore pushed for a change, which cost the Dutch traditional club PSV Eindhoven 15 million euros. Exactly the transfer that RB Liepzig had transferred to Galatasaray Istanbul for Bruma at that time.

The two goalkeepers Julian Krahl and Marius Müller also left the club, and the loan of English talent Emile Smith-Rowe also ended.

Hannes Wolf could not have had a worse start at RB Leipzig. The Austrian had broken his right ankle in the U21 European Championship opening game against Serbia and suffered a break of the syndesmoseband on top of that. The midfielder will probably not make his debut for the Bundesliga team until 2020.

“My personal goal is to be able to train with the team before the end of this year,” said Wolf, who visited the team in the training camp at Seefeld in Tyrol on 15 July.

Wolf cost a transfer fee of twelve million euros and is already the 18th player to make the journey from Salzburg to Leipzig in the past seven years. From former coach and Ralf Rangnick, whose future at RB Leipzig is still unclear, the 20-year-old was the absolute wish transfer.

Wolf has “attracted attention in recent years through strong performances and a remarkably good development,” said Rangnick after the announcement of the transfer in winter.

In the Austrian Bundesliga, Hannes Wolf was directly involved in 15 goals in 22 games.

Last season the Brazilian talent only played for his club’s U20s. Nevertheless, the people of Leipzig put eight million euros on the table for Luan Candido.

“We’ve been watching Luan Candido for almost half a year. The boy can play just about anything on the left side. With Luan we will get a flexible and variable player. That’s why I’m very happy that he chose us,” said Ralf Rangnick, explaining the commitment of the Brazilian U20 international.
