Defending champion Bayern Munich will have to give up Ivan Perisic at the season opener in the Bundesliga on Friday evening (from 8.30 pm in the LIVETICKER and LIVE on DAZN). The reason for this is a ban from the past season in Italy.
Perisic had seen his fifth yellow card in Inter’s final match of last season’s Serie A against FC Empoli, the suspension of a match applies across seasons and even after the switch to Bavaria. That’s what the official Bundesliga homepage says.
The candidates for the two offensive outposts at the FCB on Friday are Kingsley Coman, Thomas Müller and Serge Gnabry. At the 3:1 in the DFB Cup on Monday evening against Energie Cottbus, coach Niko Kovac had bet in his starting formation on the Frenchman Coman and former world champion Müller.
Perisic, who has already scored for BVB and VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, will receive the number 14 jersey in Munich.
