Perisic already in FCB training on Wednesday?

Bundesliga: Perisic already in FCB training on Wednesday?

More and more information about the apparently perfect transfer from Ivan Perisic to FC Bayern is getting through. Jerome Boateng apologises for his behaviour at the title celebrations at the end of last season. And the ex-Munich Bastian Schweinsteiger celebrates a success.

Here are the news and rumours about the FCB.

Bayern coach Niko Kovac did not want to confirm anything, but according to unanimous media reports, Ivan Perisic’s move to FC Bayern is over. The Croatian is to initially switch from Inter Milan to the Isar on a loan basis for one year, followed by a purchase option of 20 to 30 million euros.

According to tz, Perisic will complete the medical check in Munich at the beginning of next week. If everything goes smoothly, he will sign his new contract and probably already train with the team on Wednesday. So for Kovac he would also be an alternative for the Bundesliga opening against Hertha BSC on Friday.

The Perisic deal was most likely made clear in the past few days after the FCB was certain that Leroy Sane had contracted a cruciate ligament rupture and would therefore be out of action for months. The Manchester City star was actually the number one transfer destination for Hasan Salihamidzic, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Uli Hoeneß. It remains to be seen whether Sane will be obliged despite his violation.

Jerome Boateng will not leave FC Bayern this summer. A surprising turn of events when you think of last season’s title celebrations, where the centre-back was apathetic. Boateng has now apologised for this behaviour.

“I know that many people were critical of my behaviour back then, including many fans. And I understand that. No matter what happens now, I want to apologize for it,” he made clear in an interview with Bild am Sonntag.

And Boateng continued: “That was not all right. I acted out of deep disappointment at my situation. I couldn’t help myself.”

Boateng was only a reservist at the end of the season and therefore hardly got any time to play. It now seems, however, that the 30-year-old is closer to the first team again. After a good preparation he was in the starting eleven of the compulsory match against Borussia Dortmund (0:2 in the Supercup).

Chicago Fire is only three points behind the seventh and last playoff place in the MLS. The fact that one can hope for the final round again is partly due to one man: Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The long-time Bayern player scored against Montreal Impact in the 88th minute to a 3:2 winning goal. It was the first seasonal goal for Schweinsteiger.

Chicago celebrated their second win in a row, having previously failed to win five games in a row.
