After winning the U21 European Championship, Spanish winger Dani Olmo has talked about his future and confirmed that the Bundesliga is an option for him.
“I think it’s time to take the next step,” Olmo told SOCCERSCORE and Goal exclusively about a possible transfer to Germany. “The Bundesliga is a great league, which I like very much. We’ll see what the future holds, but first I’m going on holiday.”
At the U21 European Championship, the wingman, who is still under contract with Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb until 2021, convinced with three goals. Also in the final against Germany (2:1) the right foot was successful.
“This title and this tournament mean a lot to me personally. I had a very good season in Zagreb and wanted to build on it in the national team,” he explained after the final whistle. “I’m very glad we actually got the title.”
Trained in the youth of FC Barcelona, he moved to Zagreb at the age of 16. According to kicker, Bayer Leverkusen should have a strong interest in Olmo. According to the magazine, a redemption of around 25 million euros is in the offing.
