Martin Hinteregger has been cleared by FC Augsburg for a medical check at Eintracht Frankfurt. As coach Adi Hütter’s team announced on Tuesday afternoon, the two clubs have basically agreed on the modalities for a transfer.

“Today, Tuesday, Hinteregger was exempted from FCA training in order to complete the medical check in Frankfurt. Both associations are to a large extent united over the change modalities, only details are to be clarified , communicated the agreement on their association homepage.

After a successful half-year in Frankfurt, Hinteregger would thus have his transfer wish fulfilled. Last winter, he criticized the former Augsburg coach Manuel Baum, triggering a transfer saga. With Eintracht, Hinteregger reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, where they were defeated by FC Chelsea in the penalty shoot-out.

According to the newspaper “Bild-Zeitung”, a transfer of Hinteregger to FC Augsburg will bring in a transfer fee of 12 million euros.
