Bundesliga: Media report: Leverkusen rejects FCB offer for Havertz

Bayer Leverkusen is said to have rejected an offer by Bayern Munich of 90 million euros for midfield jewel Kai Havertz. This is reported by tz.

According to this, the record champion would have made a concrete offer for the 19-year-old – above the pain threshold of 80 million euros proclaimed by the club bosses. However, the persons in charge of Rudi Völler’s workself are said to have rejected the offer.

This is in line with Völler’s public statements that Havertz, who scored 17 goals in the past season and finished third in the scoring list, will not be retired this summer. In April, Bavaria’s CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge even expressed understanding for this: “I wouldn’t sell him to [Völlers] for the time being, either.” If you say no, “the subject is settled.”

Havertz is regarded as one of the greatest talents in German football. In his early years he already played 88 Bundesliga games (24 goals, 19 templates) and plays an important role in the plans of national coach Joachim Löw. His contract in Leverkusen runs until 2022.
