Media: Michael Gregoritsch and Werder Bremen reach agreement

Both Sky and Bild report an agreement between the player Michael Gregrotisch and Werder Bremen. However, an agreement is still needed with FC Augsburg, whose demands for a replacement, as with Martin Hinteregger, seem too high so far.

When asked about the picture, both Werder sports boss Frank Baumann (“I don’t talk about rumours”) and Gregoritsch himself (“I’m not allowed to talk about them”) didn’t say a word about the rumours.

It has been known for some time, however, that coach Florian Kohfeldt is a big fan of the striker and is said to have chosen him to succeed Max Kruse, who has migrated to Fenerbahce. However, the redemption could put a spoke in the wheel for the project.

According to the report in the German daily newspaper, the Augsburgers want to collect a redemption in the region of around 15 million euros. As another parallel to the Hinteregger case, the losing party is not prepared to offer more than ten million euros. The people of Bremen would have to rely on proceeds from sales in order to be able to increase prices – these have so far failed to materialise.

Nevertheless, the media seems to be relatively certain that the two clubs will soon be able to report an agreement. However, Augsburg will probably have to lower its own demand for this.
