Media: Bavaria wants to give up Martínez – negotiations underway

Published on

Javi Martínez came to FC Bayern in the summer of 2012 for the record sum of 40 million euros at that time. After eight years, the Spaniard’s time in Munich could be over.

As “Sky” reports, German record champion Martínez wants to “definitely give up” in summer. Since the 31-year-old’s contract only runs until June 2021, the next transfer phase will probably be the last to generate an appropriate transfer sum. Sky” does not report how much a club has to pay for the services of the defensive all-rounder.

Concrete considerations have already been made as to where Javi Martínez will transfer to: his former club Athletic Bilbao. Talks between his advisors and the Basque club are already underway.
