FC Bayern Munich will sign Leroy Sane of Manchester City. At least that’s what ex-professional Lothar Matthäus thinks. Jupp Heynckes says goodbye to Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben and Rafinha. Jerome Boateng could move to Italy. Here you can find all news and rumours about the FCB.
FC Bayern Munich will definitely secure Leroy Sane’s services, according to Lothar Matthäus. “One player I think will enchant Bayern fans next year is Leroy Sane. I am sure that he will move to Munich,” the former professional wrote in his column for Sky Sport.
“When Uli Hoeneß publicly reveals that the player is being taken care of, in the vast majority of cases the player also ends up in Bavaria,” Matthäus explained. Today’s TV expert spoke of a “win-win transfer” and would be delighted to see the qualities of Sane in the Bundesliga.
“Tricky, dangerous, fast, usable on both grand pianos and with a great future,” he classified the Manchester City grand pianist. Hoeneß had limited the interest in Sane on Sunday: “We have interest. But the chance of getting him is small.”
Bayern Munich’s former coach Jupp Heynckes has said goodbye to Rafinha, Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben in the kicker. “Franck and Arjen have always preserved their great, innate love of the ball and the game, football was not just their profession for them, it was much more: their life,” wrote the triple coach.
Heynckes was particularly impressed by the mentality of the veterans: “They were driven by a childlike enjoyment of football, a never cooling passion and unbridled fun, which is characteristic of street footballers and makes them so authentic in their appearance on the football field.
But not only Ribery and Robben would have been a “gift for German football”: “Especially in the triple year, Rafinha was extremely important – as a DJ with his music mix of rock, pop and samba, with which he provided the right rhythm before the games; but even more with his collegial behaviour, of course.
FC Bayern Munich has not received any concrete inquiries for Jerome Boateng yet, according to the picture. However, Inter Milan, which according to various media reports will soon be strengthened with Antonio Conte, is said to be interested in the 30-year-old.
FCB President Uli Hoeneß had advised the central defender over the weekend to look for a club. According to the report, however, this is currently difficult because hardly any interested parties can be found in the desired price and salary category. PSG, which was considered a possible target in winter, is also said to have retreated.
Meanwhile, Boateng should not necessarily plan a farewell. If he does not receive an attractive offer, he could probably fulfil his contract by 2021.
Joachim Löw praised his former co-coach Hansi Flick to the kicker and can well imagine the commitment of his long-standing companion at FC Bayern Munich: “He has enormous qualities, both in football and especially in the human field. He had always covered “many facets and areas” at the DFB.
Löw stressed, however, that he did not know the plans of FC Bayern and Niko Kovacs. Whether Flick really is a topic in Munich, as last media reports suggested, could not and did not want to be confirmed or denied by the national coach. But he could recommend Flick unreservedly.
“I need a co-trainer who I can trust 100 percent and who is 100 percent loyal. But he must also be open to me and mirror me: Coach, you’re thinking in the wrong direction, this idea for tactics or line-up is not a good idea. Hansi has always done that,” Löw explained.
