Bundesliga: Magath harshly criticizes the Bundesliga

The former Munich and Wolfsburg mastermaker Felix Magath has criticized the clubs of the Bundesliga for their lack of expectations.

“No one can claim to be a master anymore. That goes for everyone. When I worked in England and China and was able to follow the Bundesliga from a distance, I had the feeling that everyone was happy when they were allowed to play in the league,” said the 65-year-old in an interview with the online portal Sportbuzzer.

But that’s not enough, according to Magath, some would even say to themselves, “like now Hannover: Then we just descend and then ascend again. I miss clubs that want to make a difference. The league is settling in mediocrely.”

The 1980 European Champion also has no sympathy for the increasing number of positions held by clubs. “Today there are also management planners and what I do not know everything for posts, that is really funny. But the more opinions you have, the more the idea of the football you want to play becomes watered down,” said the former champion player and European Cup winner of Hamburger SV.
