Leverkusen apparently in race for Ödegaard

Bundesliga: Leverkusen apparently in race for Ödegaard

Martin Ödegaard could apparently be loaned to Bayer Leverkusen. The decisive factor here would be Real Madrid’s continued confidence in the development of the Norwegian.

As the Marca reports, the royals want to reject the purchase offer of Ajax Amsterdam and not give up Ödegaard after all. Rather, the club is looking for a new rental club for the 20-year-old midfielder.

Accordingly, Leverkusen could be awarded the contract. Real should also rely on the Werkself because right-back Dani Carvajal has already made decisive progress there. The same is expected in the Ödegaard case.

The Bundesliga could still benefit from the youngster after FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund failed in their advertising campaign in 2015. Ödegaard decided in favour of Real Madrid and was last loaned to SC Heerenveen and Vitesse Arnhem.

Last season, the left foot scored eight goals and eleven templates in 31 Eredivisie games. The loan contract ends on 30 June 2019, but at Real Madrid Ödegaard is probably not yet playing a role in the planning. His contract there runs until 2021.
