RB Leipzig has apparently secured the services of Markus Krösche. The current managing director of SC Paderborn will soon be presented as the new sports coordinator and will sign a contract until 2023.
According to Bild and Leipziger Volkszeitung, there will be an agreement between Krösche and Leipzig; the transfer to Paderborn will amount to about 500,000 euros. But it will probably not be presented until after the DFB cup final on 25 May.
Krösche would take over the Red Bull from the former sports coordinator Jochen Schneider. He had changed to FC Schalke 04 during the second half of the season. Schneider probably also tried to lure Krösche to Gelsenkirchen.
Besides Schalke, 1. FC Nuremberg and Hannover 96 are also said to have been interested in the 38-year-old. The football teacher took over Paderborn in March 2017 and accompanied the club from the 3rd league up to the second Bundesliga exit race.
Before that, he gained experience as a coach: In the 14/15 season, Krösche was in charge of the second SC Paderborn team, before he was co-coach under Roger Schmidt at Bayer Leverkusen for the next two seasons.
