Ex-Rapid Vienna attacker Joelinton could make the leap into the Premier League this summer. As the kicker reports, the Wolverhampton Wanderers are intensively tinkering with a Brazilian commitment.
The seventh of last year’s Premier League season is currently on the lookout for strikers and has in recent days been associated with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa – Joelinton would be a younger alternative at 22. His contract in Hoffenheim runs until summer 2022.
Joelinton spent two years on loan in Hütteldorf between summer 2016 and summer 2018 and scored goals in 79 games for Rapid 21. Often Joelinton’s evaluation of his chances was the downfall. But since his return to Hoffenheim, Joelinton has made great strides and collected 14 scorer points in his first 29 Bundesliga games.
Wolves coach Nuno Espírito Santo was largely banking on a 3-5-2 system last season, so Joelinton could be on the side of Raúl Jiménez, who has now been signed for 38 million euros after his loan.
